2006 Trailblazer Remote Lock

I recently has my Cam Phaser Acutuator Valve (I'm probably spelling it all wrong) replaced in my 2006 Trailblazer. Ever since then my remote unlock has not worked. How can I fix it?

These two problems are not related. Check the battery in the key fob. It probably needs replaced.

What is the phaser on the end of the camshaft

Why do you refer to it as a Phaser? Maybe you should ask Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock or Scotty.

As another person said, since it's on the end of the camshaft, it's most likely a camshaft position sensor.

intermittant is spelled intermittent. .... Ah, locking system. ... You will find a broken wire in one of the doors that are used to set the door lock.
Probably the drivers door return wire.

Obd code p0014 on isuzu ascender 2006

Its a cam over-retarded code.

I believe this is a rebranded chevy trailblazer. I would start with an exhaust cam actuator which is located right next to the power steering pump. 90% of the time this will fix the problem. If it does not than it is possible there is an issue with the timing chain or a PCM issue.

My 2002 Trailblazer has PO1345 Any suggestions where to start

Deals with Cam Shafts and Crank Shafts positioning and sensors.

Make sure your crankshaft balancer bolt is properly torqued, this alone can set his code off.

If not, may need to replace the cam phaser actuator.

During a cold spell, the door lock button and remote stopped working. I checked the fusses but I can't figure out what is wrong with it.

it's probably frozen...doesn't take much if there's moisture in your door mechanisim.
Try lock deicer or "rust chec"...and spray in your latch area on your door as well as in the "key lock" area.

If your remote still doesn't work change the battery in it.

P0014 engine code

THE CAM SHAFT ACTUATOR IS LOCATED IN THE CYLINDER HEAD ON THE FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE JUST ABOVE THE POWER STEERING PUMP. AFTER YOU REMOVE THE ACTUATOR CHECK TO SEE IF ANY OF THE SCREENS ARE DAMAGED OR MISSING. IF SO REPLACE THE ACTUATOR. ALSO CHECK THE CRANKSHAFT END PLAY. IT SHOULD BE BETWEEN 0.0044" - 0.0153". if excessive crankshaft end play is causing this concern, it will be obviously out of specification by as much as.050" or more when a pry bar is used to move the crankshaft back and forth. IF THIS IS THE CASE AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT IS RECOMMENDED DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF DEBRIS IN THE ENGINE. IF NO EXCESSIVE CRANKSHAFT MOVEMENT NOTICED REPLACE THE CAM ACTUATOR. IT WILL ALSO BE NECESSARY TO DO AN OIL CHANGE.
