One worn tire

Yes. And, get the computer scanned for codes.

That's a lot of miles for an '05.

Check the age of the battery too. If original, then negotiate for a new one.

Don't know if it's a good price though. Any price your comfortable with paying is a good price though.

Struts and Front End Alignment for 2003 Impala 58K miles

This can be a wide ranging price. Labor prices vary, and so do parts, and needed work to align. There is no way to adequately give you a quote without looking at the car, and talking to you about the level of quality of parts you desire. I would make sure you absolutely need struts, because with 58k miles is unlikely unless you have very bad roads you've driven on. The level of quality of struts varies enormously, and so does the price. At any rate make sure you don't pay for quality parts and get cheaper quality parts. (probably the first way a disreputable shop makes ill gotten money).

Loss reverse gear in 98' Explorer XLT

Most repair shops will only do a complete rebuild. Reason is, they have a guarantee attached, and corporate policy dictates they cannot repair a partial problem. There is some merit to their logic, as in...most transmission (automatic) problems have a source...which may quickly disable or break another band or drive servo if there is no complete rebuild.

As for price, parts alone would only run $50-75, for standard reverse band...labor would still be full price...because they will still charge for removal and installation, and have to remove several other servos and bands to get to the reverse band.

I have a 1997 pontiac transport the transmission is slipping really bad.I had filter changed new fluid put in which dint help.Do i need a new transmission?

More than likely you have burnt clutches and clutch bands in your transmission, to replace you will need to take transmission out and have it rebuilt. The average price to rebuilt is $1000-2500. If you decide to have this done make sure that you get a good warranty at-least 6 months on parts and labor or at-least 12,000 miles. However this one thing to remember if the cost of repairs exceed the retail selling value of your vehicle its time for another vehicle. If you need more help contact me. Good Luck

Timing Belt

Safe bet on a timing belt is every 60k miles. Remember it's not just the belt - it's the tensioner also, as well as the water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, spark plug wires, all fluids, all filters, brake inspection, tire rotation, and an inspection of lighting and suspension parts. Plan to pay quite a bit if you don't do it yourself.
