Question about 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I start in Park and switch to Drive. Car is fine, until I attempt to return the shifter to Park. The Jeep does not engage into Park. Instead, it switches to 1st gear and remains there, regardless of the position I move the shifter to.
Park, Rev, N, Drive... They are all the same, forward gear. If I constantly move the shifter through the gear positions and back to Park, it will eventually engage in Park, after several minutes.
If I turn off the engine while in 1st Gear, of course the Jeep will not start until I can find a way to once again engage Park.
Transmission fluid level is not an issue, otherwise I am clueless. Any ideas?
Try to check the trans mission gears of your 1995 jeep grand cherokee. The shift fork and the clutch sleeve of the trans mission is locking to the other gears .And then also check the starter motor and its solenoid.if the starter motor solenoid is destroyed or worn out replace .
