LOl. Well i learned that there is a lot of different headlight switches. Someone who owned the jeep before i did put the wrong one in my jeep. Ha ha. The switch i needed was the one with a button for the fog lights. I went to the junk yard and they had the same year and model of my jeep there. I bought the switch with the fog light button and it works perfect!! Who knew it could be this simple! Thanks for your help!

If the fuse blows when the switch is off the switch is bad too. If thefuses only blows when the switch is turned on you have a short in thewiring or bulb.

So first, I would removeboth driving bulbs from their sockets and see if there is corrosion.Fix that problem if there is corrosion.

Then install a fuse without the bulbs and see if the fuse blows. If youhave a test light you can bridge the fuse panel without putting a fusein. If there is a connection you have a hot wire grounding. If there isno problem install one light, fuse or bridge the fuse holder and see if1 light works. Try each side. This way you can isolate the problem. Then visibly inspect wiring.

2010 jeep grand cherokee laredo fog lights

If it didn't come with fog lights, it may also have not included a fog light relay and/or fuse. Check the owner's manual for fuse and relay locations, and then check if the necessary parts are there.

I have a 2001 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo that did not come with fog lights but has the plugs for the bulbs. I purchased the fog lights plugged them in but they didn't turn on. I was wondering if there...

If this vehicle came prewired, and all you had to do was plug in the fog lamps, then 50A fuse 7 in the power distribution center would be hot at all times, applying power to 15A fuse 24 and the fog lamp relay. Setting the left multifunction switch to FOG causes the body control module to close the fog lamp relay and turn on the fog lamps. It is possible your Jeep came prewired but without the fuses and relay so a dealer could install them to make your fog lamps work. You can check whether the fuses are in the box and OK and whether the fog lamp is installed or just an empty socket. Once everything has been checked and any missing parts installed, your fog lights should work.

A/c clutch on '98 jeep grand cherokke won't

sounds as though there is a leak, check all connections on a/c lines, now you will need to see if the clutch is getting power, if it is then the clutch will need replaced, if not then check to make sure where the fuses and relay plug into are receiving power. Hope this helped Tim

1998 jeep grand cherokee limited fog lights don't work.

This means you have a short. I am assuming you are talking about the fog light fuse. Does this fuse blow whether the fog lights are off? or just when turned on?

If the fuse blows when the switch is off the switch is bad too. If the fuses only blows when the switch is turned on you have a short in the wiring or bulb.

I don't know if you have test equipment so first I would say to remove both driving bulbs from their sockets and see if there is corrosion. Fix that problem if there is corrosion.

Where is the fog light fuse located?

If you do not have the owners manual showing the fuse locations, then use a 12 volt test light and probe both sides of every fuse to locate the one fuse that has voltage on one side but not the other side of the same fuse.

98 Jeep Cherokee Fog lights

It's definitely the switch...I bought two of 'em so far...known bug. I don't use the fog lights as much anymore , but the "Airtex" oem equivalent switch from Rockauto seems to be holding up well. If you dissamble your broke switch you'll probably see evidence that it is beginning to melt and theres alot, maybe too much, grease, which may or may not have been the cause of the bad, heating contacts inside switch.
If I remember right, even though the foglights have a relay there is still full amperage going through the switch or something....don't qoute me on that last statement.
