Problem for Hyundai 2007 Veracruz SE
Egr valve malfunction/failure what are symptoms? 3.5 v6 2004 paci
chrysler pacifica runs rough about 30 to 40 mph .tried downshifting to load eng and it seemed to get smoother. chk eng light just came on,had scanner put on at autozone and it read egr problems. anything else i can check,short of repl the fuel pump. runs good usually, now seems goofy only at the above speeds.

Your best bet would be to check your catilytic converter, thats the thing in your exhaust system under the car that looks like a muffer, it could be clogged, triggering the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) fault code. However, I don't trust those scanners from these autoPARTS stores have a proffessional diagnosis done you will save money and headaches later. You probably have more than one trouble code. As for the fuel pump you will know when it goes bad, the vehicle will stop running period, so, don't change that.
