Shut it off and Put coolant buy 1coolant jugs at Auto Zone or Gas stations wait for roadside assistant if your insurance covers that or get it towed to the shop to be very safe it will cut off in the Middle of the road so it's better to get a tow truck or try not drive it if you drive you may endanger yourself or you may have to push it to nearest safe haven get certified business establish shop to take it in. No street mechanic too risky and at your risk

Coolant, itself, should not overheat. If your coolant is leaking past the lid of your reservoir, you have overfilled your coolant. Coolant expands when heated. It is important to only fill your coolant when the engine is already cool and to not fill past the fill line. If, however, your coolant is leaking from somewhere else (such as the bottom of the reservoir or the hose as is common with the 2003-2005 models) you will need to have that piece replaced.

2003 kia sorento leaking antifreeze after new radiator

You will want to taste the leak (or get someone else to do so) and make sure it is not water.
Antifreeze has a very sweet taste.
You should only need one drop, and be sure to rinse your mouth out really well afterwards.
Whenever a radiator is replaced, the hoses attached to it can also begin to leak, because the rubber hardens with age, and can be harder to seal again.
I prefer a stainless steel band clamp, not the original equipment.
A good flashlight would be a help as you look for the problem.
Be sure to check the heater hoses, and the other hoses that carry coolant, as any of them could be leaking, due to "being disturbed" or due to the possible higher pressure the new radiator is giving the cooling system.
Be blessed.

I HAVE A 2003 SORENTO,MY MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT AS A MISSFIRE ON # 1 CYLINDER,REPLACED PLUGS AND WIRES,THEN DIAGNOSED THAT IT HAD A BAD O2 CENSER,REPLACED THAT AND STILL RUNS ROUGH.CAR ALSO BLOWS A LOT OF...

if loosing coolant but no leaks anywhere inside or outside of car, and if it overheats due to lost coolant, we can say that your cylinder head has a micro crack on it. and coolant is vaporized inside chamber. you need to weld (or replace) cylinder head after removing it.

The Coolant seems to boil out when I have been driving and then park for a while. We can't seem to find a leak. We were told it might be the thermostat what are your thoughts. This is a 2003 Kia Sorento

Could be:
a thermostat....$10 fix (does the heat work)
Could be:
fans not working (check fuses and relays) look and listen for the fan working
Could be:
low coolant

What is the correct coolant to avoid the engine overheating

Most of the pre-mixed is just right. 50/50. It also saves you the hassle of mixing it yourself. You can buy it at most auto part and department stores. Hope this helped. Good luck.
