You get a loud buzzing out of what your stereo when it is on or where is the buzzing coming from? I am at a loss as to where you are hearing buzzing.

I believe that you have a short in the steering column either where the switch makes contact with points or in a wire. Either way you probably need a new turn signal switch. They are not real hard to change but you have to have the right tools to do it. If you buy a mitchells or haynes book at your parts store I believe that either one will walk you through changing it. The tools will cost you around $20.00 or so. It will show you what tools you need in the book I believe. You need to get it changed or you could end up with a major problem if it does short out.

2001 monte carlo and my signal lights and 4 way flasher is making a xxxxxxxxx noise and sometimes they will flash and then the next time they will not sometimes the light will be on the dash and then...

most common problem is the turn signal/flasher module which is the hazard light switch on the dash. it is the cheaper of the two items also. you can try wiggling the turn signal lever when it makes the noise to see if it goes away, if it does then you have a bad contact in the turn signal switch on the steering column.

Issues with turn signal in my 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. Hazard lights and right/left turn signal emit a very loud buzzing, then gets stuck. It does not work most of the time, or when it does, it buzzes...

Sounds like you have a bad multi-function switch or signal switch they are the same thing. This will fix the cruise control but, your other problem is your hazard warning switch replace it to.This will fix both of your problems.P.S you can get both of these from www.rockauto.com for less than $60.00.

1999 pontiac grand am - loud buzzing sound when I turn on the turn signal. Turn signal lights are lit (on) but steady, they do not flash. If its the turn signal switch - where is it located?

ON THIS YEAR 2 THINGS ARE USUALLY THE PROBLEM. THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH OR THE HAZARD SWITCH. IT DOESNT HAVE A FLASHER. THE FLASHER IS INTEGRATED IN THE HAZARD SWITCH. ITS ABOUT 20 BUCKS FROM THE DEALER. THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH HAS TO BE REPLACED AS AN ASSEMBLY. THE COLUMN COVERS HAVE TO COME OFF AND THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED
