The Check Engine light flashing is pretty much a universal sign that you have a misfire that is bad enough that a lot of raw, unburned fuel is being dumped into the Catalytic Converter, to the point that it could be ruined if the problem is not taken care of very quickly. If that happens, you're looking at usually a few hundred dollars, on top of whatever the original problem is. It's also, a fire risk, as the CC already gets very hot normally, but even hotter if overloaded.
The first thing I would recommend, is that you ask friends/family/co-workers if they know of a really good mechanic. Then, unless they're REALLY close by, have your car towed there. Or, if you insist on driving it, make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy.

Has the fuel filter been chg. lately. If it has, maybe a fuel pressure test is in order. Fuel pump might be geeting weak and does not show up until it gets warmed up. Fuel pumps are a common problem on this type of cars.

Most major Autoparts stores will get the Diagnostic codes from car computer and give you info on why light is on and what the problem is.

It NEVER was the camshaft sensor! Unless, you've removed the engine lately, which I doubt.
RUN to Advance Auto Parts and buy a can of "SeaFoam" and add to your gas tank per instructions...drive at least 100 miles and the problem should go away...IF it doesn't you'll have to replace the O2 sensors in the exhaust system...Any good mechanic should be able to do this for much less $$ than the dealership DO NOT go to the dealer for repairs!
Good Luck
