I lost the key to my 2006 pontiac g6. I had a new key made today at a different dealersip then where I bought the car. The service people where I got the new key said that due to the chip in the key I would need to manually override the alarm system by - turning the key to the on position for ten minutes, to the off position for five seconds, back on for ten minutes, off for 5 seconds, on for 10 minutes, off for 5 seconds and then it should start. However, it did not. I called pontiac customer assistance and they said the override is specific to each dealership. However, my dealership has gone out of business.

Lost key to my 2006 Pontiac g6

Get the VIN and give it to the dealer and they can cut you a new key. You are looking at spending quite a bit in doing this, but even a locksmith is gonna charge you an arm and a leg.

I have a new key for a 2006 Pontiac G6. I need to know how to program it

Assuming it's an actual transponder type key, here's how...
Withe the car off, insert the existing key in ignition to ON (do not start the car). After a few seconds, remove it and immediately insert your new key to the same position for a few seconds. Turn ignition off and then try to start the car with that new key.

I lost a keyfob with key to my Pontiac G6. I have

Once you program this key fob the other one will not work. The reason is when you program the fobs how ever many you have, you have to program them all at the same time.So if you only program one fob only that fob will work the other one will loose it`s program. You have to take it to the dealership to program the fob.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Today my car broke down without any mechanic is saying my engine is "gone" and need to replace for 2006 Pontiac G6 XTP convertible?

I highly recommend finding a mechanic who gives you a little more detail than a *gone* engine. It isn't hard to twist a few screws and call it a paperweight. Good Luck.

Cracked oil pan on 05 pontiac g6

The car could have hit something on the road that made contact to the oil pan, or if the crack come form the inside the engine. It could have internal engine damage. The best thing to do is to just replace the whole engine with a rebuilt and you'll know that your going to have warranty and have the car for a long time. Good luck and hope this helps.
