Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
I have the exact same problem with my car at the moment and the gage on oil fluctuates from engine overheating back to middle once the car is moving and not stopping. What was the solution for anyone that has had the same problems.
When I step on brakes rear fog lights pop on and tail lights go out
What shouldI do 2002 jaguar xtype 2.5

open the trunk and pull back the carpet and there should be wire harnesses going to the lamps turn them clockwise or counter clockwise and they should release then have someone use the brakes to find which one is burnt out and replace it then put everything back in the way it was taken out

The lower port is located on the larger of the two lines going in/out of your A/C compressor (the lines are silver tubes and your compressor will have a belt of some sort attached to it). You can also tell which is the lower port because that line will be cool/cold while the high side port line is smaller and will be warm/hot while the A/C is running on max.
