Question about 2002 Mitsubishi Galant
Please e-mail me ASAP. I have no car to use.
Well different engines have the sensor in diffreent places. 2.4l on front between timing belt and pulley,2.4l dohc i think is inside distributor.so i hope you get the idea, service manual is needed for this, purchase one at autozone or advance and life will be a lot simplier.
Actually, 2001 2.4L SOHC is on the right side of the engine. "Standard" time is 0.3 hours but I just replaced mine in about 10 minutes. Make sure you detach the intake hose in the front by the airbox and loosen the rear clamp and tilt the hose up out of the way. Requires removing the cable clamp bolt for the ??? cable on the top front right side of the valve cover. And it helps to remove the cable guild bolt holding the cable next to the wires for the CPS itself to get wiggle room to remove and reinstall it. Once you get the intake hose out of the way you should be able to see what's going on.
