I Was reading on another post about the same problem. And that is where I got the Referenced "low and high switch" after more research I realized it's a combined problem of my blower drawing to many amps and my blower resister block getting burned up by that. my blower dose not work at all and my blower resister connector is melted to it. would you agree what this is my problem?

should be just above the blower motor. You will need to remove the glove box door to gain access.

My 2001 Dakota heater switch only works on high

Next to the blower motor is a part that is called a blower resistor. It has at least four wires attached to it. This part always goes bad. The blower motor is under the dash below the glove box. This part is usually located to the left of the blower motor. You can usually get this part from Oreillys or Auto Zone. Hope this helps. please leave a comment.

Hi ya, i just inquired about my blower motor, is the relay and switches and everything under the dash or under the hood,

In the Dodge Dakota the blower motor resistor is located under the hood, on the right side firewall.

Sounds like tou need to replace blower motor resistor, it is located on A/C, heater case near motor. This should fix you right up. Have a good one!

The heater/defroster/ac control switch only works in the high position.

You probably have a bad blower resistor. it's located next to the blower motor under the dash.

The heater/defroster/ac switch

Sounds like a card located under dash behind your blower motor, on passenger side. When card starts going bad you will only have off and high (for awhile), then none. change the card, this thing controls your speeds on the motor at your control on dash. I have a 2002 Dakota had same problem... but keep in mind not all Dakotas have this card.
