You may have added too much freon, the compressor will not function as a safety measure to prevent the system from major damage. If this is the case, you will need to bring it to an AC repair shop to have it vacuumed or diagnosed. Hopefully this helps

My lincoln mark lt pickup won't blow cool air

My lincoln had the same issue, first it was the A/C compressor (original). I replaced it with another one (used) and worked for 1 month. Then back to hot air. "A/C experts" told me the compressor was out again. I took it to a Mexican auto shop, old building where the guy works alone and to my surprise...HE FOUND THE PROBLEM!! There was no freon leaks, the lines were freezing cold inside the motor, checked freon>>full. He then checked the filter. This filter is on the end of the line where it is crimped that allows the freon to flow thru. Im no mechanic so explaining what it is, forgive me. I can only show you...the line is silver ad in front of you by the radiator, and its the same tube that goes to where you plug it to add freon. There is a filter that was clogged up and prevented the freon from flowing. He removed all the freon, vacuumed out the system/line, and replaced the filter for less that $3.00. Added freon and his cost was $80.00. Thank God for honest people who work hard for a living. I buy the parts, he replaces and I continue to give him my business. Other expensive auto shops with fancy buildings/prices My Lincoln Mark LT now blows arctic cold air!!!

1996 Toyota Avalon. AC was only blowing hot, had it recharged now it works great unless it's really hot out then it only blows hot. Any suggestions?

Most places nowadays that recharge dont deal with older systems so I doubt they did the proper job that you expected them to. They would need to replace the AC unit and the Frion which is a fairly major undertaking.

A/C and Heater probs on my 03 Malibu LS

It may be related especially if the problem is mechanical in nature. Normally there are panels in the AC unit that channels the air through the car. Have it inspected. Also have the AC cleaned out. This may also solve your issue.

Yesterday I just had someone change the battery and now the AC does not work. It only blowes scorching hot air and no cool air.

you need to check the frion try to bring it to the aircondition repair so that they check the frion of your AC

Try spinning the knob real fast in either direction. Sounds stupid but it worked for me.
