Motorhome electrics can be very complex, especially with a generator.

I advise you don't proceed until you have the handbook and wiring diagram to work from.

The gauge can very well be "lying" to you.

As a precaution, I would do a routine cooling system service on it. This includes completely flushing the coolant, replacing the thermostat and radiator cap (believe it or not, a bad cap can cause issues too).

On the few Fords I have owned, mine were always in the middle, or to the left of the middle.

Motor homes should run cooler actually, beings as they tend to have heavy duty large capacity cooling systems.

Either the fuel line from the front tank to the switching valve is plugged or kinked, or the valve is not moving all the way to that tank (if electrically switched). Pull the hose (from that tank) off at the valve--do you get good fuel flow? If the front tank is lower than the valve, try switching the fuel lines from the two tanks at the valve, and set the switch for the rear tank. If it now runs, clean the valve or replace it.

best bet is get a WIRING DIAGRAM. you should have current (12 volts) on both sides of the fuse that works the tailights.if not there is probably a broken wire or a shorted wire leading up to the fuse. you kinda need the wiring diagram so u can see in which order the current "flows" which will help point u in the right direction.

SOURCE: fuel shutoff switch switch location on a 1988 ford

The fuel pump inertia switch that shuts off the pump in the case of an accident or impact is located under the right side of dash I have also
found them behind the right kick panel. There is also a fuel pump
shutoff relay under the hood on the left firewall, and a relay on the
right fender apron behind a plastic cover. Hope this helps.

I have a 1989 ford econoline 350 motorhome and i need to know what is the type of alternator fan belt or the excat number of the belt

Just go to an auto parts store/distributor and tell them you want a fan/alternator belt for a 1989 Econoline with a 460 engine. That's all you have to say. Speak nothing of Motorhome, it really screws them up when you say that. All the have to know is that it's an Econoline 350 with the 460 engine. I have 2, an 87 and 88 Tioga with 460 engines and I never mention the word motorhome. I'm scrapping the 87 and have all kinds of stuff to sell from it. A complete front end with fenders, hood, doors windshield and bumper in good shape. I'm putting the seats and refrigerator in my 1975 18 foot Midas on a Dodge chassis, now with a small block Chevy 383 and 700R4 trans in it. Already put all the cabinets and booth from the 87 30 foot Tioga into this little 18 footer. Oh, the front end fits from 83 to 91.

1990 ford econoline 350 motorhome has 2 batteries those batteries are for the engine or for the motorhome

They are for both. both run the motor home and start the engine. They are there for short term use for the motor home electrical. Your motor home has to be plugged in to an outlet source for long time/engine off use.

Why 1989 ford econoline 350 motorhome has 2 batteries

Typically if the batteries are in the engine compartment they are for the engine. There are usually a bank of remote batteries located in an access panel in the R/V body.

Motorhome runs 2 miles down highway then will sputter. I put shifter in neutral then turn ignition off then back on and the engine runs great for another 2 miles and it happens again.

I had this problem, it was water in the gas tank from condensation from sitting .
I had to replace the gas tank which had rusted through, and have a supply of fuel filters to change regularly, I also had to regularly add additive to the tank to absorb moisture ( I think they didn't work).
I surely hope that is not your fix, but it was mine.
God bless your efforts.
