SOURCE: 1986 toyota pickup starts wont stay running

It seems there is some kind of air entering the carburator where its not required to do so or the idling soleniod switch is malfunctioning, thus not allowing the air to enter for the engine to idle .
Also recheck the vaccum pipes if they are correctly refitted per the schematics under the hood.More over remove the idling switch and blow some air to the hole probabley theres some kind of obstruction over there .

Good Luck.

Knight.

SOURCE: 1993 grand cherokeeoverdrive button light stays on ,no overdrive

The button itself may be bad. If the button is ok, then the problem could be in the transmission control module located behind the dash or worse, it could be an internal problem with the transmission itself. I would start small by checking or replacing the panel that includes the overdrive button. The easiest and cheapest place to get one is a salvage or junk yard. If this doesn't solve the problem then it is best to take your Jeep to certified mechanic. When it comes to the Grand Cherokee, they used around 5 or 6 different transmissions and several different transmission control modules. I wouldn't recommend the do-it-yourself guy try working on those systems. I Just recently replaced the transmission in my 93 Cherokee and finding a used one that was actually the right model was like looking for a needle in a haystack

My pajero io is showing OD OFF on the dash board. How do I sort this problem

I am not sure that this is a problem. Both of my vehicles have overdrive that can be turned off. This can be helpful when towing. One car has a button on the end of the column shifter that turns it on and off, and the other has a switch in the console next to the shifter. Look for a switch that turns off the overdrive.

I just got O/D off light on in my 1998 Toyota Corolla. What to do

hello subir. This is the over drive function. someone may have accidentally pushed this button so to turn it off you will have to find it and push it again. there is a Overdrive button somewhere on the shifter. It is probably on the side of the actual handle or down near the 4-speed gear numbers, sometimes even in the end of the shifter..

O/D off is NOT a big problem at all- you just don't want to use it all of the time because it runs your engine a lot harder because you are always in a lower gear. That would be used if you were driving up a big hill, for example, and don't want it staying in the highest gear. It gives you more power in circumstances like that

My 86 toy 4x4 if u put it in 5th gear and hold it in it will stay but if u dont it pops in neutral ive been told its ashifter seat bushing. is that true?

Pull the shifter out and look, as there is a plastic "ball" at the end that may be worn out. Take off the shift boot inside the cab, and notice a collar around the shifter, push it down and turn counter clockwise to release it.
