Question about 1994 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Benz Sl Class

94 SL320 randomly does not start

I have a 94 SL320 and it randomly does not start. Battery is good, lights go on but does not turn over. No sound, no clicking, just doesn't turn over. Other times runs like a champ for weeks, and then I get stranded somewhere. Could this the security system somehow overriding the ignition?

Sounds like a dead battery or loose battery cables/connections. Try giving it a boost to see if it will start. Possible bad battery., LIfe expectancy of an automotive battery is 5yrs.....Anything older and it may fail randomly

Check your connctions, it may mean crawling in and seeing if you have a loose wire on the starter. Sounds to me like a bad connection.

94 escort wont start

sounds like you might just have a new battery that needs charging FIRST - before you try anything erlse - check ur new battery - they sometimes come without a charge.

How many miles - ?

First it is best to be sure the solenoid is ok. There are two large 'terminals' on the solenoid -
one leads to the battery - using a jumper wire or even a screw driver - [ get a pro or someone with more experience if u not confident here] - jump the large BATTERY SIDE terminal to the small wire terminal - it usually has a simple push on wire - remove the little wire - and put ur jumper cable on that terminal - - be sure the car is in park - and or emergency break on.
Also be sure your neutral safety switch is good. If ur car is automatic then put it in neutral - with brake on and try it -

94 vette won't start,bat good,have org. key,fuses ok,high beam light on lights off,lcd cluster won't light up?

Disconect the battery and ECM for FOUR DAYS then reconect the ECM and BATTERY. Let it sit for another four days without turning anything on. It should start but will run rough for about 200 miles as the ECM relearns the system. I had the same issue and that is what fixed it.
