Dont know how to replace brake light switck

Remove the cover from under the dash and look up above the brake peadle about 5 inches you should be able to see the switch there may be 2 switches if you have cruse contronl. The brake light switch should have white and orange wires. just pull back on the switch to remove it. When putting the new one in push the brake peadle in then push the switch all the way in the hole then pull the brake peadle back till it stops this will push the switch back out some this will adjust the switch. Of course ckeck for proper operation. Here is a bad diagram of the switches but it the only one I could find.547561f.png

try to lube the throttle body and see if it moves if you can manualy move the throttle at the engine then check behind the peadle for any obstructions if nothing stopping the peadle then i think you can say its a safe bet that it's the cable

My 1994 linclon town car has loss of power when taking off and if you press on the gas peadle to much it makes a clanking sound in the peadle.

You may have a clogged catalytic converter that is under the pedal area and rattling. It may of fell apart internally.

Engine will not idle will cut off as soon as foot is off peadle

possible solution, there is an idle circuit on your mass airflow sensor that allows air to bypass the throttle plate. if this little actuator is not working then no idle air will be able to get by the throttle plate which then tells the mass air flow sensor that there is no air moving which in turn tells the computer to stop pumping gas into the cylinders...which make your car shut off. hope this helps, cheers
