1989 ford ranger location of ignition control module

Check for a Thick Film Integrated (TFI) Module attached to the outside of the distrfibutor with about an 8 wire plug on it. That is Ford's ignition module. My recollection is the two screws attaching it to the distributor are odd-ball 7/32 in. size. If the module is taken off, use special ford di-electric grease on the base before re-attaching. For heat dissipation.

My 1989 ford bronco will run for 15 minutes then just quit running have replaced fuel tank both fuel pumps and filter it's got 44 lbs pressure what else could it possibly be wrong

have you checked for ignition fire to the plugs after it dies? chances are the ignition control module is getting hot and shutting off the signal to the ignition coil.

1989 ford pick-up,no spark comming from ignition coil. Have changed ignition coil, roterand cap, still no spark. Would you have any suggestions of what to check next?

From a few years experience with these trucks the next most common problem is the ignition module(on the distributor) or the pickup coil. The pickup coil is inside the distributor and it is necessary to remove the distributor and it's shaft to change it.
