Oil burning and check engine light

I have a 2003 chrysler 300m and my check engine light comes on for a little bit then goes off. but every time it goes on I get the garage to scanner for codes and every time it is a different code . One tome when the light came on it had shown 3 codes. I am frustrated. I don't wan to put that much money into it when it shows a different code . I only had this car for 2 years Also it seems its burning oil too.

On the TT The mass air flow meter can cause lots of problems when trying to read codes.I would change that and that should solve your problem.Hope that was helpfull.

The engine light is flashing on my 2000 chrysler 300m...what could be the problem?

The check engine light is telling you the computer has a problem with a sensor or the overall performance is below standard.
You should have the computer scanned for trouble codes to proceed.
Most auto parts stores will scan for free with the hopes you will buy some parts.
Let us know what the trouble codes are.

The thermostat don't work where is it located at to put it on the 99 chrysler 300m

Jacquelin! The thermostat n a 3.5 Chrysler 300M is on the block right next to, and toward the front of the engine by the oil filter. Yes, that sems a bit strange, but then I'm not a bit surprised about this engine any more. As the big radiator hose leaves the radiator finding its' way toward the block, it terminates at a traditional "goose neck" at the block behind the power steering pump- only accessible by removing the oil filter and using an extension and a u joint BUT FIRST: lower the anti freeze in the system by draining some fluid. But anyway- THAT'S where it is. Have fun, fix it up and GO!

Hi, I have a small oil leak coming from front right half of car. 2003 300m standard. Any thought on what it may be.

Could be: Oil Pan Gasket. OR the OIL LINE coming out of the oil pan and to the oil cooler in the radiator on the passenger side.. If it is engine oil, and not in a large quantity, like a drip on the driveway, look to the oil pan or the fitting. It is not too bad to replace- dirty, but not bad as it is fairly clear of obstructions. let us know and we'll walk you through it.

Check your oil level, have oil and filter changed, make sure they use the right viscosity. If problem continues, it is more than likely either a bad oil pump, or clogged oil pickup screen. If that is the case and you don't get it taken care of, you are looking at serious engine problems very soon.

Starts to vibrate while driving, check engine

The reason your check engine light comes on is that the system is letting you know there is a problem, and it SHOULD be stored so that a hook up to a OBD II reader will locate the code.
The only way you are going to get a burning oil smell is to have engine oil dripping on to a hot surface like an exhaust manifold or pipe.
Check for oil leaks at manifold, valve cover gaskets ect.
How long does it run again after it stalls ?

Oil pressure

Could be the oil pump going bad. The oil sensor registers oil pressure, not oil level. If it isn't pumping oil, the light will come on.

CODE P0420

Check for any exhaust leaks, hopefully your not burning oil, or losing coolant, and have exhaust checked for possible plugged catalytic converter.

Roar from front above 20 mph

Have you checked the wheel bearings in the front, there may be a possibility that the bad cv axle may have caused premature bearing failure and thats where you noise is coming from. Hope this helps.
