Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 2WD
Truck has always started right up, now occasionally ( once or twice a week with daily running) you have to crank and crank and press the accelerator all the way to the floor before it starts ...fuel pressure test was fine..fuel filter has been changed... truck runs fine after you get it to start. 150,000 miles
Had this same problem for a month. tried new batteries...didnt work. tried new terminals...didnt work. finally talked to mechanic he checked and the starter was bad...had it replaced....Perfect, works great...fherr

Check the fuel heater and the intake air heater.
Your injection pump or your injectors may be getting weak
There may also be a leak in the fuel system that is allowing air to enter it.
