Hi my XC60 D5 2009 has the following issue.It will start the first time you start it in the morning ..but once you switch it off after that the car will not start again ..even if its just for 10 sec

OK, so starting the engine uses a lot of battery power, and the engine needs to be left running a while to recharge the battery.
When it is cold batterys don't hold as much charge (not quite the correct technical term, but I don't want to go into battery mechanics and chemistry here). You either need to pop it on a trickle charger or let it run for at least 15 minutes.

SOURCE: park lights and dash lights won't stop flashing

There is a small black box under dash by steering column that has a little red button on it. Push that button and it will reset the alarm. Whenever the power is removed from the system it will trigger that alarm and flash your lights. Easy quick fix. Box is about 4" x4" and just to the left of the column. Your ignition switch needs to be replaced and then your PassLock needs to be re-learned. Very common problem on the Ions.

sounds like you need a new battery you can remove this one and have it tested but i believe that is what the problem is
