You are probably running an A604 trans .That means the solenoid pack is bad not the trans. Disconnect the battery for about 10-30 minutes then reconnect the battery and start the car and drive it to see if it will shift. If yes then the solenoid pack is bad. If no then the fluid pressure is down in the pumps in the trans.
P.S. I assume you checked the obvious trans fluid level first off.

It is probably your clutch master cylnder or perhaps the slave cylnder...but it is definetly one of the two, and its best to replace both at the same time.

I put a new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing in my 1993 dodge stealth along with a new slave cylinder and itr wont disengage

Sounds like you may have some air in the clutch..Try and bleed the clutch a few times and see if that helps the problem..Hope this helps you and have great night....

Dodge stealth

Sounds like a problem in the valve body control, or the vacuum control of the valve body.
The vacuum control leak could cause the grinding noise because it didn't actuate far enough when trying to engage reverse.
In either case this is something for a transmission shop to handle.

You said you had it rebuilt. Did they rebuild the transmission you had? Or did they just swap it with a rebuilt they already had on the shelf?
My first call would be to them to see what the warranty coverage was from the last repair. My guess would be that it might not be, but it could, it's worth a shot.

Let us know what they say.
