SOURCE: had pinion seal repaired on 1995 v-6 camaro 36000

He had to remove the pinion nut and drive flange to install the seal. He also should have installed a new crush collar. This caused the failure due to incorrect bearing preload. (Set by the new crush collar). You should contact the technician and tell him you know the pinion nut was removed IF the seal was replaced. Best of luck and I hope you get back on the road.

What does a manufacturer warranty cover on a 2012 mazda 6

it really depend what warrant you got when you bought the car.
you can go to mazda website go service ask what part and labor covered for the car you have if you bought it new

if you bought used that you have 6-12 month,
most new car 3 yrs or 36000 miles what ever comes first

if you have bump to bump thats really good
parts that are not covered:
tires, brakes, batteries, lens, light bulbs, thing used under normal where consumables items

you can call the local dealer and ask for service dept, talk with a techn
you will need the VIN number located driver side lower part of the indow

My required matenance light came on in my 2007 scion tc is this a very serious problem

Make sure the car is in "off" position.
Press and hold the odometer button.
While pressing the button switch the starter to 'on' position.
You will see 5 lines appearing on the odometer display. The lines will vanish one by one.
Release the odometer button.
Light will be off!!!!!

(Note: each line on the odometer display represents1000 miles. I5 lines mean 5000 miles, meaning that the light will be turning on after 5000 miles. To reduce the mileage to, lets say 3000 miles, realease the odometer button if 2 lines are vanisahed)

Forget an expensive purchase 500 miles away. Are you going there to check it out. Get the VIN # and run it at any GM Dealer and you will know more than it's current owner

Steering Column Slip

sounds like the vehicle needs to be serviced by a dealer. is it under 36000 miles? factory warranty runs 3 years or 36K whichever comes first. check with your local dealer or the NHTSA for related recalls or TSBs

Mileage per gallan isn't what it used to be

There are a few factors that affects fuel mileage, your vehicle is still pretty New and all emission related components should still be functioning at the peak performance. here is a check list of other items that may will affect fuel economy, from this list you will be able to determine what may be affecting yours.
  1. LOW TIRE PRESSURE or bigger tire size.
  2. VEHICLE IN NEED OF MINOR TUNE-UP SPARKPLUGS+ AIR FILTER.
  3. CHANGE IN DRIVING HABBIT(driving faster on highway) OR MORE LOCAL STREET DRIVING or carring more loads.
  4. Brakes hanging up or not releasing completely while driving (not very usual but possible).
  5. IF you added a rear spoiler/wing/wind deflector etc.
Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA.

New engine

no they are not required to, because the mileage is on the whole car and not on the engine, since there is many many parts than get older whit the mileage like wheel bearing transmission etc,
the original mileage has to stay the same, the only time they are required to reset the mileage is when the instrument cluster is been replace, it has to read exactly same as the old one,
example, if your car is currently reading 36000 by replacing the cluster it has to be set at 36000, having a new motor does not mean than the car is new again,
