It s very possible you shorted somethings. But I would look closer at the fuses even if you dont see the tiny wire burned out just try changing them to make sure they are good, and go from there.

Loss of power to radio

You'll need to reset all the stations on your radio after a battery change.

No power to radio

replacing the battery is the same as having the radio stolen to the security in the radio so now you will need the security code for the radio before it will turn on again.

Gas gage and speedometer not working

You should start with you fuse block itself. For that many different things to be not working the one thing they have in common is the fuse box. if the fuses are good you may have a faulty fuse box itself. Use a voltmeter and test the slots to the fuses for each electrical item. If you dont have voltage going to your fuses then the box needs replacing. If you do then either fuses need replacing or damaged or broken wiring.

AC and Radio not working My car died and i needed a new battery for it. When I replaced the battery, there were a few electronics that would no longer work. The main dash with the AC and radio...

Did you check all the fuses? You might want to pull them one at a time and check with ohm meter to make sure them are good. Did somehow a cable get disconnected when you replaced the battery or maybe the wire is broken?

I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero that I just got used and it only has 79K miles on it. Problem I'm having is it appears there is a fuse or something loose because the AC and radio don't come on unless you...

i would expect you have a connection problem behind the dash. ac and radio have two seperate fuses and the fact that they do work at times tells me they are probably ok. the harnesses for both however do run together. the harness could be rubbed thru depending on how it is routed. bottom line is you have to take the dash apart and check the wiring to ac and radio. you will probably find a rubbed thru harness or a loose harness plug. good luck!

Electrical--windows, ac, radio and fan stoppped after battery replacement

Check the fuses. There is a good chance you might have blown one or a few if you some how didnt connect the jumper correctly which would explain some of the accessories not working.
