SOURCE: i need to know what battery in float mode means on
Float mode on a battery charger generally means that battery has been fully charged at a faster rate, and the charger is now maintaining the full charge, without overcharging the battery. You can usually leave the battery connected to the charger indefinitely - float mode will ensure it is always at it's peak charge.
Please rate if this helps :)

I am guessing that you mean you have one of the jumpstart devices that you plug into the lighter socket? If that is the case plug it into the lighter socket turn it on and try to start the vehicle. If that doesnt work or you think the unit itself is dead plug it into the lighter socket on a vehicle that has a fully charged battery to charge it. If you post the manufacturer, model and name of your charger we may be able to find a manual for it than i can answer your question better

Are you asking about internal or external wiring?
To hook it up to a car, the black handle goes to frame ground (not the negative battery terminal) and the red goes to battery positive.
If you need internal wiring, please give me a complete description of what needs to be wired and why (ie - charger works but 200A booster for starting doesn't work, etc)
SOURCE: Why won't my car charge, the charger infact
Yes you can if it has removable top.If it is sealed then no. Have your battery load tested,it might not be any good

Black to black, red to red Red would be + designation and Black would be - or a negative designation.
