We were driving on the freeway and all of the sudden the clement control just went blank. When we got home I looked at the owners manual to find where the fuse (10 amp) was and I replaced with a spare from the engine compartment fuse box. I started the car and it worked for a few seconds then it blow out right away.
This fuse may serve the compressor clutch. Were you using the AC at the time? If yes, you may need to replace the compressor clutch. There are also a few other circuits on this fuse. See diagrams at the link below.

SOURCE: 30 amp ignition fuse in engine compartment blows at start
It sounds like a bad ignition switch or something is grounding out.Try to isolate the problem to key positions.See if the fuse blows when you turn the key to ACC(when your dash lights come on without starting)If the fuse does not blow then when you go to start it and it blows it could be one of many problems, the more common ones could be ignition switch, wiring, starter relay, starter soleniod,or perhaps the starter itself is shorting out, this can sometimes happen when a starter goes bad.
SOURCE: the engin control fuse keeps blowing on my 2005
your fuelpump could be causing the fuse to blow as it may be seizing up
SOURCE: EFI fuse Keeps Blowing
I had the same problem at one point. My issue was a bad grounding point from the battery to the chassis. I would say check all of your grounding points.
SOURCE: Fuel injector fuse is blown, keeps blowing. Engine turns but won't catch and start.
if the injector fuse is blown then the car won`t start as its not getting fuel into the motor to fire.if the fuse keeps blowing then you could have an injector/s that is drawing too much or the injector driver in the ecm may not be any good and needs replacing or a used ecm.it could be a short some where in the wiring for the injector system that is going to ground.
