SOURCE: ac compressor oil

First off is your compressor pre-lubed? to find out, remove shipping caps from ports and tip to side and see if any oil comes out. As a rule of thumb, The oil is sold in a small bottle pre measured for the entire system. 1/4 bottle per item (compressor, evaporator, condenser, and filter/dryer) The label showing cc's will do fine for your oil needs as the system will find its own level once activated. Oil continuously flows througout system. Need I remind you that when replacing compressor you should also replace filter/dryer so you do not repeat this job in two months.

SOURCE: I cannot remove AC compressor

in order to pull your bracket you have to pull the compressor of first, there are two bolts up front and one or two in the rear, those will have to be removed first

sounds like a ac compressor relay is not working. check the relay panel usually there is another relay of the same type to switch out and see if that works.

Changing the ac compressor in my 2007 Saturn Relay, how do I do it?

Evacuate and recycle the old refrigerant. Disconnect the belt and hoses. remove the old compressor. Use an AC flushing kit to flush out the system. Install the correct oil in the new compressor. Use a vacuum pump to pull a vacuum on the entire system. Use a manifold gauge and refrigerant scale to add exactly the right amount of new refrigerant. Without those special tools, keep your mitts off!

My ac is not blowing cold in 2001 saturn sl1. I had the cooling fan replaced and it blew cold for 1 day. Then I bought a recharge kit and the pressure was to high for me to add freon. I took it to the shop...

If you can turn the compresser with your hand freely ? then you can just replace the clutch...if not, the whole compressor needs to be replaced..

2001 Saturn L200 Air conditioner issue

You need to make sure the freon is correct,by having ac gauges put on the system,if the compressor is running the gauges will tell if there is a problem with the ac system itself, now,it can be the temp door actuator motor that is in the dash,if it is not moving the temp door open,it will need to be replaced.

Ac short on 2001 saturn l200. ac won't cool. was told buy couple of mech that is electrical. I was told is was fuse block. How can i replace it?

Does the A/C compressor run or does it blow the A/C fuse in the under hood fuse box?? If it's blowing the fuse you might have a bad A/C diode located in the underhood fuse block. It looks like a black fuse with a diagram on top of it.Pull it out & replace it & see if the problem is gone. These L series are notorius for having compressor problems, locking up,clutch coils going open.hope this helps

AC has stopped blowing cold air. Compressor is working. Where is the recharge valve located?

There are two A/C refrigerant lines. The small line is your high pressure line and the larger line is your low pressure line.
Start at the fire wall and follow the "large " low pressure line to the compressor. The low pressure charge port will be some where on that line.
DO NOT try to recharge on the high pressure side ( small line )
Good luck, let me know.
