I drove from Norfolk to past Baltimore on my donut at 65mph. PAINFUL. I stopped every 100 miles to check the donut. I probably should replace it.

try removing the bolts hold on the valve cover and once you do that take a razor blade and a little lube and careful scrape the old one off.

the donut is cast into the exhaust manifold.

Is there any service engine lights on ? have you had it scanned for codes / Auto zone will do a scan for free. // it could be that fuel pressure is low/ should have tested /i had same symptom but scan said it was my map sensor /that did fix it . / but i would have to say / it could be other things / fuel filter/crank sensor/ start with having it scanned then let us know if we can be of any further assistance , feel free to ask .
