Go to an auto parts store and get a set of replacement cables with the correct length cable and both ends installed, or get a set from a dealer so you'll get the best cables for your car.

SOURCE: mercedes c200 elegance 1996 model mis-firing on cylinders 1-4

I beleive your firing order is 1 3 4 2. 1 and 4 are companion cylinders-meaning the piston is up or down at the same time i.e. compression and exhaust stroke both pistons are up and even on the exhaust stroke the ignition fires in order to burn unburnt fuel/ h ve you checked your trigger. There is a good coil testing tool that is placed over the coil and has a magnetic pickup that allows you to see if the coil is being triggered-just because you have power doesn't mean that you will have spark. I would replace your ignition wires and look at your wiring harness very carefully- if it is very brittle and you see bare wires exposed that is your most likley problem because the trigger is working for 1 and 3 and has the crank senser input for all for spark plugs and the cam senser is used for ignition advance and your fuel injection system. try wiggling your harness and see if your coils start to work. wireharnesses are a major problem on mercedes benz vehicles of that era. I hope I have been helpful

SOURCE: 2001 Town & Country. No spark. Have codes

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. before reconnecting. This will reset the system and may get it back to it's normal operation.
If the problem still persists, don't lose hope. If you happen to know someone who has a spare ECM then try a swap for I'm suspecting a computer issue here. If there's none, you may want to get one from the junkyard to cut the cost.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Have you scanned the system for fault codes, sounds like a possible crank sensor issue (CKP).

97 lincoln town car missfire on no.7 changed injectors, plugs, wires ang coil pack still have problem

Check at the distributor where the plug wire for that cylinder comes out of it. Use a timing light by plugging it in at that point and wee if there is a spark from no. 7. if not, there is a problem in your distributor such as rotor, points or electronic ignition etc. If you have spark there check by removing the spark plug then touch the threads to metal ground and see if the plug sparks. if it does, you may have a problem with a valve or injector not actually firing. May be an electronic problem with that injector.

Between the rocker cover and the fuel rail are the coils, one per cylinder hed in place by a smill 8mm bolt. Remove the coil and find the spark plug wire, the arrangement is called a coil-on-plug or COP. Spark plug is in the tube from whince the spark plug wire came. 5/8" deep socket and long extension will reach it. Another hint find some way to clean out the tube before removing the spark plug least all kinds of junk winds up in the cylinder.......SMith

98 Lincoln Town Car CRANKS NO SPARK

6 or 8 cylinder ? Do you know how to test for B+ voltage with a test light or a volt meter ? Look at a wiring diagram so you know which wires should have B+ voltage . You can find free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine . Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on ignition . Click the search button then the blue link . Looking at a wiring diagram i see this vehicle should have (COP) coil on plug ignition . That means it has a coil for every cylinder an not coil pack .
