If they are both 350s, it might work. You would need the intake and carb from the old engine, as well as the ignition system and all of the sending units. I would also check the accessory bolt on patterns to make sure the brackets will fit on the newer block.

The 79 has a 305 (so I believe), the 93 is a 350 (for sure), I already know the patterns on the intake won't match up on the 4 bolt holes in the center(angles differ). I want to do the whole thing harness & all... use what I've got or buy a "painless" I'm ballin' on a budget! lol My 1st attempt is why I ask... it'll be in the next week, kinda curious... Thanks

I would not recommend trying that. You would need to design and build a new exhaust system with converters and O2 sensors. That pcm also wants to run the fuel pump. And how will you give it speed sensor input? Do they have a painless kit for all that? Do they include instrument cluster?

SOURCE: Chevy Caprice Classic Transmission, car won't go after warmed up

Scrap it. Transmission is almost dead. This car isn't worth the $3000 to fix it( not even a $1000 for a used transmission). Not to mention the other things that are wrong with it.

Were can i find the fuel pump and filter in a 1984 chevy g30 motorhome?

You may have a mechanical fuel pump, usually located at front lower part of engine. Follow fuel line back from Carburetor. If fuel injected, it will be in gas tank.

Have 93 Chevy G 30 Have a High pitch whine that changes with rpm

This could be anything from the pump in the transmission to the alternator bearings/bushings to the power steering pump. Could be an idler pulley bearing, but I doubt it.
Hint: If the noise is very high-pitched, check the alternator. If it is a lower, medium-high-pitch sound that changes some when you turn the wheels, check the power steering pump. If it is almost like a moan or a "Whooo" sound, that's the transmission pump.

79 chevy beauville fuel lines where is the fuel filter located

79 is carbureted...There is a 5/8" nut fitting on the end of the fuel line at the carb inlet. Use a 1" wrench to hold the nut on the carb fitting and a flair nut wrench to remove the smaller line nut. Then remove the 1" one. The fuel filter is right behind the 1" one. Be careful to keep it straight when replacing it. The carb metal is soft and strips out easily. Don't loose any seal rings there either.

1982 G30 Chevy Van power steering fluid

Find the power steering pump. The fluid goes in the top of the pump. Look for a twist off cap that has a measuring stick attached to the under side, when you take it off. Make sure you use the correct type of fuild for YOUR kind of vehicle. There are diffrent types for different makes of vehicles. Don't OVERFILL the pump.
