If you probe the back of the coil connector with ac voltmeter, there should be ac voltage of several volts ac when cranking the engine. I could be a little more specific if you provide engine size.

Check your timing belt by carefully removing the timing belt pulley cover to the left of the valve cover. The valve cover houses the spark plugs. You should be able to flash a flashlight down and see your timing belt. Most likely, you have a timing belt going, or a shaving stuck in your VCT solenoid. I'm guessing the belt is worn and has slipped a tooth or two. I would take caution driving it as it's been disputed that it could be an interference engine, and you could do serious damage to your vehicle.

it is in your main fuse box, under the hood.

on that car you should have 8 relays, find the one for the windows, and pull one of the others and oput it in it's place to see if it works before going and spending money on them.

if that does not work, change all of your switches for the wondows, alot of times this can be the problem.

Check for battery drain with wiper fuse/relay pulled and with it re-installed. Sounds like the multi-switch or wiper switch has a bad wire or shorted circuit.
Any garage can check for a power drain very easily. don-ohio (:^)

Howcan you check a Low speed radiator relay in 1998 ford contour

A mechanic would check for voltage from the battery, voltage from the key switch, and ground signal from the computer.
You should be able to jumper the contacts from the batt voltage to the fan lead to make the fan run.

It is probably the blower itself. If the fuse and relay are good, I would say it is.

1998 contour parking lites on left side front & rear do not work, bulbs are good.

The problem isnt a "fuse" The problem is either a bad ground to that circuit or the turn signal arm is faulty. If it were a fuse no signals would work. You can also check the blinker relay(flasher) which is also known to be faulty and cheaper to fix. wf
