Does your truck have a carb or throttle body?? You may have an electric choke on the side of the unit that is disconnected or might need repair. Will the car start when you prime it manually? Good luck

I have 1991 jeep cherokee laredo that cranks and wont start, i replaced: the cps, ignition coil, spark plug wires and spark plugs, distributer cap and rotor, and the fuel pressure regulator. it sounds like...

You need to check the basics of combustion; Is there spark at the plug wires? Do the fuel injectors receive the pulse to fire, from the ecu? Does the fuel pump turn on for a second, when the ignition is initially turned on? All of these problems I have mentioned are related to the ecu being faulty.

Gets gas gets spark but don't start. new fuel

1. does it turn over? if so, strong, or weak? 2. did you replace the fuel filter? 3. coil packs, or distributor (pack(s) can be tested) if distributed check cap and rotor, replace coil, but first check starter relay - 4. Check all ignition fuses, starter fuse - (along with relay{above}) 5. Check all connections from battery - positive, negative etc.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

My torrent wont start whats wrong with it

Well, we kinda need a little more info to try and figure it out, but to make it easier, we'll start at the top. Got gas? Oil? Does it crank? If yes, does it have gas? If yes, is it going through the throttle body injector? Don't know? Try removing a spark plug and look at it and see if it is wet, oily, black, crud, You could plug the wire back to it and lay it on a piece of metal on the engine somewhere and have somebody crank it over, to see if it sparks. If yes, then squirt some fuel in the cylinder and put the plug in and see if it fires, OK, then, if it fires, we know the fuel pump is shot. If it doesn't, we need to find out what happened to the coil pack, ignitor, or whatever your car has for ignition system, backing up here, if it doesn't crank, skip all the above and get the battery fixed up, could be old, shot, dirty terminals, some cars had a shut off switch on the fuel pump if it was low on oil, some have a shut off switch if it hits something, gets towed, anything like that. OK, back to the coil pack, test the spark again, make sure you have spark, and clean plugs, new plugs won't hurt, plug wires will mess up an engine every time, Check it out, hope this helps somewhat.

1989 astro van turns over will not start seems not getting fuil gas tank full

#1 NEED TO VERIFY SPARK AT SPARK PLUGS # 2 CK FUEL PRESSURE AT SCHRADER VALVE ON FUEL RAIL ,,PRESSURE DEPENDS ON TYPE ENGINE ....IF NO SPARK AT SPARK PLUGS CHECK SPARK FROM COIL WIRE , IF NO SPARK AT COIL ,CHECK VOLTAGE TO IGNITION COIL SHOULD BE 12 VOLTS, IF NO VOLTAGE AT COIL ( KEY ON ) CHECK FUSES THEN IGHITION SWITCH. IF NO FUEL PRESSURE AND FUEL PUMP RUNS REPLACE PUMP .. CK VOLTAGE TO FUEL PUMP WHILE CRANKING . CK USING PUMP GROUND WIRE AT THE PUMP CONNECTOR THIS WILL PROVE GROUND ALSO. USE TEST LIGHT TO VERIFY

I have 2002 nissan xterra and the car died while i was driving and wont start

Sorry that you're having trouble. There are a few things that could cause something like what you describe. The first possibility is broken timing belt. You'll know this is the case if the engine sounds very fast and quiet when you try to start it. The second possibility is fuel pump problem, Check the fuel pump relay and fuse. Listen for the fuel pump. Does it come on when you turn the key in the ignition. And another possibility is a problem with the ignition coil pack or ignition control. Check for spark, and check for any loose wires/wire harness connectors. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Ford festiva just dies while going down the road u can drive it for a couple of miles then dies then wait 5 min or so and starts back u i replace the following alternator fuel pump fuel filter distributor...

I have seen this problem before. To fix the problem, we have to pinpoint exactly where the problem is (whether it is ignition or fuel related). Do you know how to check for spark or have a spark tester. What I would like to know is whether there is spark from the coil wire (primary) and spark plug wires (secondary) after it dies? If not, then you know its an ignition system problem. Then check the voltage going into the coil at the + and - terminals and let me know what it is. If the ignition is suspect, you should probably have it checked with an oscilloscope so you can see the pattern of the ignition firing. That will dramatically help show what is going on with the ignition firing.
On the other hand, if the ignition spark seems strong after it dies, you need to look to the fuel injectors possibly having intermittent problems. These are tough to diagnose without specialized tools like an injector tester.
Also, have you retrieved your trouble codes from the engine computer? You need to ground the test connector near the drivers side shock tower to get the trouble codes from the flashing check engine light. If there is a stored code, it will tell you where to look for the problem. For example, you could have a bad sensor that is giving the computer (ECA) the wrong information. Once the car warms up, the computer goes into open loop and then problems can begin if its getting wrong information from sensors. There are specialized tools that can test the computer and the car's sensors that I have.

Since repalacing fuel pump doesn't get fire

Take a look at the repair history. If you have fuel and you know the fuel is entering the cylinders then you need to find out why there isn't spark. Inspect spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, then the coil, distributor, wiring, ignition switch, and ignition module.

After driving 20 to 30 miles the car loses power and starts backfiring. I would say it is heat related. I can drive 30-40 miles in the morning but only about 20 miles going home in about 80 degree...

have you checked on the water coolant level and the pump? i know this is the least of the possible issues but i could be cause that is easily missed.
