oh ok this is simple u need to put a new fuel filter on there it has a bad fuel filter on there try that out if not it is the fuel pump but try the fuel filter after that and the fuel pump if it still has a problem it is the gauge and try to put mid grade cause it causes less break downs for your car cause it doesnt mess up ur fuel filter

SOURCE: Van won't start

Try spraying some starter fluid down the intake and see if that will help it get started. If it does then you know that it is a fuel related problem and can go from there. Let me know how it goes and I will see if I can help you some more. Goodluck!

SOURCE: overheated and now it wont start

overhet then smoke as I'm sure you know is not good. then shut off and will not start, sounds like a blown head gasket, this would allow coolant to escape to the point of overheating, and the smoking as well, coolant in the cylinders via a blown gasket would prevent starting. DW Mylin

I have a 1999 dodge ceruis. I quit running going down the highway at 70 mph. It was very low of oil. Do the have a ciser shut down system

You are fortunate that the engine still cranks. If it overheated when it shut down it is possible that some of the electrical components may have been burned out.

And if you did permanent damage it is possible that now the engine is not cranking fast enough to start.

Good luck.

2001 pt cruiser was diving down the road and just shut off will not start

If it turns over (cranks) but does not start, it is almost surly a bad crank sensor. Check to see if your tachometer moves when cranking the engine-if it does not, install a crank sensor.

We have a 1996 jeep cherokee country. it runs for 15-20 minutes then it dies. It will start right back up and go for another 15-20 minutes and die again. 4 people have looked at it, Not One knows what it...

Without being able to do any testing, I can tell you that the two primary causes of that problem are either a bad fuel pump or failing crank sensor (also sometimes cam sensor). You mentioned a sensor but not which one. When it stalls, turn the key on and listen at the tank to hear the pump.(best if someone else listens, as it shuts off when operating pressure is attained) If you cannot hear it likely it's binding when it gets hot. Another cruder method is to bang on the center of the tank and then see if it starts.

My engines shakes really bad once it starts. it idles for a few mins then it shuts down. this is after it shut down on me on the freeway. all power went of and it just shut down on me. i think is the

I'm no bona-fide mechanic, but I've done a lot of work on cars. It may be you have an engine seriously out of timing. Or you might have loose or worn engine or transmission mounts. If the engine was shaking badly before shutting down, one result of that may be in the fuel system. If your car has a carbeurator, the shaking may have wreaked havoc on your float. If you have fuel injection, I'm not sure what to think.

Hopefully, you've gotten your precise answer before I even read your problem!
