SOURCE: 1994 toyota sr5 pickup not starting due to no

Look in the fuse box under the hood. Look to see if the 15 amp EFI fuse is blown. If so, you may have a short circuit at the fuel pump wiring under the bed/on top of the tank. If it is not blown, you may have an open circuit on the same wire; this is a very common issue to the 94 trucks.

SOURCE: cannot find the fuel pump fuse on 95 toyota tercel

Get a tester light and check all the fuses with the key on. If not I think it is the efi fuse. The fuel pump has a relay too. Pump is in the tank .

check/test cam and crank sensors. If defective, this will cause a misfire on the spark or the fuel side. If ok, check all electrical wiring for corrosion or if rodents bit any of them.

No fire to the fuel pump ... is there a fuse or something that needs to be changed

Hello. Welcome to FixYa. I am Toyota Ed, and I will be assisting you today.

If your EFI fuse is OK, I would suspect a broken or corroded power wire between the wiring harness and the top of the fuel tank, where the power wire for the fuel pump enters the tank. This is a very common issue. If the wire is indeed broken (which it probably is) you will need to replace the fuel tank fuel pump/sending unit cap/bracket assembly. Just tell the Toyota Parts person that you have a bad fuel pump wire, they will know exactly what to sell you.

Thanks for choosing FixYa today.

Did you change the fuel filter? Or maybe clogged injectors.

You most likely have a bad wiring issue on top of the fuel tank sending unit/fuel pump holder bracket. A replacement of this unit will be necessary to rectify your condition; I change these quite often; a very common failure, with exactly the symptom you describe.

You will either need to drop the tank (hard), or remove the bed (easier) to replace the unit.

Fuel pump wont run and keep blowing a fuse in the front fuse box

The power wire to your fuel pump must be shorting out somewhere. Disconnect it and see if your fuse still blows. If not, then follow the wire all the way back to the fuel pump, and look for a bare spot. Good luck!

Fuel pump testing

When you turn the switch, listen for a whirring sound . That is your fuel pump working. check the fuses too. It could be the pump. But until you hear the sound it will not work.
