I have a problem with with my 19966 Jeep Grand Cherokee stalling &back backfireing& hard to start back

Have replaced crack sensor throttle sensor cooling sensor Cap rotor wires gas fitter 02sensorcoil map sensor still have the same thing going on what you think the prolumb could be?

you need to check the fuel pressure,and did you mean you replaced the distributor or just the rotor because inside the distributor is a pickup plate that some times causes this also 02 sensor can cause this.is your check engine light on if so go to chain auto parts store they usually read your codes for free.

96 grand cherokee misfiring when hot.only when hot.new plugs ,wires,cap@rotor,fuel filter,fresh fuel@tank cleaned.backfiring through throttle body.checked all vac.lines.

either a pick up crank sensor ,or a dodgy fuel pump .But it could be evan a ECU unit playing up or factory immobilisor .hope its something cheap and easy for you though

Does this thing have a throttle body that looks like a computer-controlled carburetor?

If so, start motor and verify that it behaves irratically and then stalls.

then, spray WD-40 liberally around base of throttle body where tb meets intake manifold.

You gotta vacuum leak. Replace gasket under TB and tighten bolts to factory spec.

get a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze .. if you don't already use it and add it to the gas.
