I yanked it out and my mechanic told me it should be ok and that I should take out the fuse too. I looked at the kickplate for the fuses and it didn't tell me which fuse. Could someone tell me which fuse to remove? I hope it doesn't affect anything important. Thanks.

It's located in the bottom of the oil pan of the engine under the car. If your changing your own oil, you'll want to change the filter at the same time you drain the oil. It should take about 4.5 to 5 quarts of oil to fill it through the cap on the valve cover on the top of the engine. You'll need I believe a 13mm wrench or socket for the plug and a filter wrench.

What happened on mine was the motor failed.Check behind he rear sear at the motor to see if you have voltage. I was't willing to replace the motor for 300 bucks so i disconnected the rod ends that push and pull the top and made it a manual top.Works fast and not too hard.

You can, but it will probably take two people and they must move the top slowly and together. It will be hard because you will be forcing the fluid back through the pump.
You can change it to a manual top by removing the bolt at the top of the cylinders and lowering the both shafts down into the cylinders.
