You can, but its a bit tricky if you don't work with cars.
A cheaper way would to be to look on craigslist in your area you might always find something on there. If you don't then your going to have to shell out the $$. Most of it is labor fees anyways.

you have to remove cover on column turn steering wheel sideways there may be 2 t25 torx holding both halves together then there re a couple of screws holding bottom cover to column then on the left side of the column is the electric switch you should be able to change that piece

The plastic ignition switch is held in with a philips screw. You will need to remove the ignition lock cylinder to get to it. A easy way to check is to unplug the wires going into the back of the lock housing and plug in the new switch, without removing anything.
