Question about Fiat Cars & Trucks
I have a 2009 fiat doblo dynamic m jet 1.9 deisel. i have not been able to clear the exhaust by giving it a long run and took it into halfords. They said it was very blocked and better to have a new one. they also replaced the diferencial pressure senser and the temperature sensor. after picking up the car and driving it for a couple of days, the same problem arrises. engine failure warning and goes into limp mode. its gone back to the garage but they are scratching their heads. can you suggest why i am still having issues please
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Black smoke is usually unburned fuel. P0171 reads bank 1 system too lean. There isn't one answer. You need to dig further and inspect your cars fuel system, from the pump to the injectors. Because of the mileage you may want to start off with a compression test just to see where you stand with the motor. write back if you have any other questions.

SOURCE: can a bad o2 sensor
check the spark plugs and wires. the turbo motors have an aluminum head that expands and contracts too quickly and cracks the ceramic insulator on the plugs causing the engine to run irratically when it starts making boost and drops into a safe mode. also throws the trans code.

The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM
