Need to check your fuel pressure because sounds as if it might be the fuel pump. Check fuel pump relays too. That's about the only link.

SOURCE: ac compressor wont kick in. Full of freon, new ac

Probably just the a/c resistor which is a big black block thing just under the passenger dash. You dont need to remove the dash just crane your head underneath and you will see it. Mine went and i got another off Amazon for about $30. Apparently they tend to go every so often. Good luck!

1998 gmc truck ac problem I put 2 cans of freon ac pump wont turn on it a few miles then it turn on maybe 10 mminutes driving

if you had to put 2 cans of freon in the ac system then you have wasted your money and time as there is a big leak that the gas is escaping from
ac systems will last forever and require no additional gas if the system is intact but as soon as it needs gas , there is a leak that has to be fixed first
problem you have described is most probably too much gas to start with and the high pressure switch turns the compressor off
then when enough gas leaks out the compressor will run until the low pressure switch switches off as there is not enough gas in the system

Why won't the A/C turn on?

You did put 134a back in? But possibly not enough? There is a pressure safety switch somewhere in the system that detects pressure and opens the circuit if not enough freon. At least that is where I would start. Does the Compressor turn freely otherwise by hand? Did you get enough compressor oil into the system (new Compressors need special charge with compressor oil).

03 Ram 3500 ac blowing warm put freon in now if I don't turn my truck off after putting it in AC works but if I turn it off within a few hours all of the freon has leaked out!!

If you have a major leak in your AC system, you can try a can of "leak repair" with your next try at recharging the freon, or you can take your truck to an AC repair and have it fixed.
Leaks can happen in hose connections, seals, etc.

My 2006 dogde's ac will not work, it trys you can

may have low freon or bad pressure switch , switch should be on the dryer on on one of the lines could try cleaning it pull it off will have a schrader valve so you wont lose any freon but you may need a guage to check the pressure and make sure its right

Replacing the a/c compresser. how hard is it to replace the compresser

Replacing the AC compressor is a job in itself and normally not for the do it yourselfer. If you replace the compressor be sure to get some AC flush and flush out the system. If you buy a new or rebuilt compressor most places will not warranty the compressor unless you also change out the orfice tube or expansion valve and the accumilator. While you are tearing down all these parts be sure to replace all oring seals associated with each part. Cover the lines as you take the parts off to keep contamination out.Once you have replaced all the necessary parts and have it all back together you need to vacume the system to get all the moisture out of the system. This is crucial or you will have prmature failer of the compressor. Once you have done all this then you can charge the system with freon. As you can see it gets complicated. Hope this helped you.

Did you put freon in it? If you changed the compressor, you lost compression. A certified mechanic can do this. No one else.

A/C problem. no circulation

Find clean, preferably white container. Try to empty out the oil from the old compressor through the holes on top. Give the clutch a few spins while dumping. How much oil comes out and is the oil clean and transparent or black/grey with metallic particles?. If it comes out dirty you may have a bad restriction in the system. If clean the compresser is suppose to stop turning electrically as it reaches low pressure to prevent the evaporator core from freezing up.

Where is the water pump located on a 97 Mountaineer? And how hard are they to change? I think mine went out. I noticed water dripping under the motor for a while, and my Mountie started running hotter one day but then it stopped doing it, but my AC would blow hot and cold, then yesterday, it ran hot and we refilled it (was nearly empty but the radiator wasn't super hot and we were able to take the cap off) but afterwards, the battery light started flickering and the battery gauge dropped and the power steering went crazy, and I suspect it's my water pump. Where should I look to confirm a water pump leak? Edit: This is what happened yesterday. It's more linear so maybe it makes more sense to help figure this out. -My Mountie temp gauge was nearly to the red, so I popped the hood. I squeezed the top hose going into the radiator and it wasn't hard so I felt the radiator cap and it wasn't really hot so I started it up and had Al (my son) help me remove the cap. The radiator was nearly dry so we added antifreeze and water (about 3 gallons) and the temp dropped back down on the gauge, but when I drove again it was leaking enough water to cover Alan's windshield behind me, the battery light was flickering, the battery gauge showed low and I had no power steering. When I got it home and we popped the hood (the temp gauge stayed at about 3/4 up til I got home, so I kept driving) it looked like something was spraying antifreeze all over my belts. That's why I'm thinking water pump. Edit;Edit - Kerry Mahoney, my overflow tank is apparently plugged up. The level inside it was fine.
