SOURCE: hi.clutch noisy when engaging

Sounds like the clutch throw out bearing got water in to it. This bearig is what the clutch fork actuates. Being a bearing it allows the stationery fork to push against the rotating clutch plate. I expect you'll need to tear down and replace. While your in there I'd replace the clutch too. Give the clutch plate a good looking over.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

the grinding noise is the park pall trying to engage in the teeth around the drum in the box
run the fault codes as it appears to be a solenoid/servo problem or a TCM fault.

1989 Ford F 150 lariat 4x4 pick up pops out of reverse and makes a terrible grinding noise until it's put back in noise is coming from transfer case fluids have been checked and changed no shavings also...

You must have a manual transmission. Rebuild it. synchronizers are bad. The reason for grinding. Then you have worn shift forks. Reason for popping out of gear. Also replace any worn bearings or just get the bearing kit and replace them all, with the races.

2008 Silverado Z71 grinding noise in 4 wheel high - what is the cause

Could be the axle trying to engage or it could be in the transfer case. Suggest you put it on stands all around and have some one listen underneath for exact location while engaging it.

Noise comeing from the dashboard

I am guessing you have a mechanical tacho, these have a flex drive comes off the cam or crankshaft, when these are not engaged in the drive correctly, it flicks off center causing a click or grinding noise from the tacho housing. to cure just undo tacho cable engage center cable reconnect outer cable, problem should be cured, if not send me a message with more information

Will not start, have replaced battery, Starter, sounds like starter is not engaging.

Does the vehicle crank over? or does it make a grinding sound like the gear isn't contacting. If your hearing a grinding noise chances are the flex plate are missing teeth that the starter engages. Only way to replace that is to remove transmission. If your hearing a clicking noise check to make sure the battery connections are tight and the terminals are clean.

Grinding noises when 4x4 is engaged

Most likely wheel bearing or cv joint issue. look for a ripped open cv boot. I believe that year used cv joints instead of regular u-joints. Hope I helped. Thanks
