No not ever. They account for less than 1% on all vehicles in use. Electric cars will never work, how would you travel when all you can do is follow the few routes that have charging stations available, no that is not practical. Hybrids are the way to go or Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles like the new Toyota.

Testimonial: "I agree but have a problem with Hydrogen in cold climates....since water is the byproduct of those vehicles, how do we contend with water freezing on the road all winter?"

I live in the San Francisco Bay area so water freezing on the roads wasn't really a concern or something I thought about but you're right it is a byproduct of a hydrogen fuel-cell I think in the future electric cars with small gas engines to recharge the batteries are the way to go another words a hybrid

I agree that that is the best final solution. The battery must operate the vehicle for at least 40-50 miles before the gas engine kicks in. In that way the infrequent road trip would use gasoline but the usual or common trips would use electricity only.

I am having trouble linking my Lynx 455 to my Tesla Model S Homelink. Is there a compatibility issue? Does the remote continue to send a signal with the button pressed?

The Model S uses a homelink system for the garage opener, and according to their compability list, the Lynx is not there. So Homelink does not guarantee the functionality of it. If you don't get it to work while following the correct procedures from Tesla, I recommend you get the universal receiver kit from Note that there is a difference in transmitter frequency between US and EU universal kits, so make sure you get the correct one. good luck!

Produce 24v 300amps of power from alternator w/out car engine

Yes, BUT, you better have a battery, or batteries installed in the system, that add up to 24 volts (I assume this 24 volt alternator has a built-in voltage regulator?)

If there isn't anything to 'tell' the voltage regulator, to just put out the needed voltage to keep 24 volts running smoothly, it will put out way more than that, And BURN up!
