2010 chevy captiva abs warning light

Abs is a good feature on vehicles now days. It is designed to pump the brakes when applying, so it has very little skid of the wheels. , But without Abs if you slam on the brakes, you will still have conventional brakes, But the vehicle will slide more or less straight and hinder steering. With Abs you can steer and brake at the same time. Some cars have a feature to turn Abs on or off on dash. So if its a medium size car, Just pull the fuse and see if brakes are ok. This will save you big $$$ BUCKS. I have a 09 kia spectra and no Abs. I have very little problems in snow or rain. It depends on how fast you drive. I live in new york state. Good-Day! (YOUR OPTION )

Breaks on Saab 2001

Did you replace the front and rear or just the front? Rear brakes can make the pulsation as well. Also if your ABS system is activating that could be described as a "pulsation". The ABS problem is usually caused by a bad wheel speed sensor or ABS module failure. ABS modules can be rebuilt (see ebay BBA-Reman) Wheel speed sensors are available at most auto parts stores. Some Saabs require the replacement of the whole hub assembly.

Worn Brake Pads
and the list keeps going on and on

I put the computer on my volvo v70 n i have this code ..p0460,p1618,p0722,p1550 and i like to know what r they and how can i fick them cuz i need to pass the inspection to get it register . in the dasboard...

Per other sites I've seen these 2 codes p1618,p0722, are your ABS module. It can be taken out and re soldered and will work fine. Many Volvo mechanics know how to do this or you can find a repair service on Ebaymotors possibly. My guy charges me $150. Supposedly you can even drive the car without the module installed but you won't have abs so don't expect to stop as you usually would with a correctly working ABS. Your tires will now skid old school instead of the abs module taking over and pullsing your brake pedal, etc.

How do you fix abs brakes?

If your having a abs check light on then you will need to have your system scanned with a abs code scanner, go to your vehicle dealer for this service , repairs can also be made there, remember it's brakes which are about safety so if you are unsure of your ability in this area don't risk it , it is not worth saving a buck for sacrificing saftey...
