Your cooling system is not working properly. You should have this looked at immediately. Could be a stuck thermostat. Is your engine temp running hot?

My 2004 Saab 9-3 convertible has a problem.. the interior heat, A/C, fan will not shut off. I have to remove the fuse or else it will run the battery down. What do you think could be the problem.

the relay for the fan is likely stuck on. locate your fuse panel and the relay that is very hot would be the culprit. take it out and replace it.

Have a saab 9-3 vector sport 1.9 tid 2006 - heater is blowing cold, have tried to flush system but has just made it colder. One hose is hot the other cold so don't think its the thermostat. any advice...

leave the coolent cap off the resevior and run car up to temperature this should get all air from the system BE CAREFULL U WILL GET BURNT!!! STAND WELL BACK AND BE READY TO SHUT ENGINE OFF as soon as the coolent starts to bubble turn engine off and leave to cool before replacing cap, start engine again with cap on drive for a little while untill the temp gauge shows warm and check that the fan in engine bay is working have heater blowers in car on all the time whilst doing this operation!

Driving in very hot weather, stopped at light,

you may have blown the head gasket.
or
check the coolant level,is it low?
if it is ok,check the fan switch on the radiator, change the thermostat, and check that the fan is working.
the fan has to work, saab engines run very hot.
there is a after run fan switch as well that measures engine compartment temperature, and can start the fan even with the car off,so be careful.

My 2001 saab 9-3 will not start when hot new start and relay but it will not start when hot

take out the ignition module and have it tested for free at autozone .
the module is getting hot and shutting down it sounds like.

one thing you can test is when it wont start spray some starter spray in it and see if it starts and dies out.
this will conferm fuel or ignition.
i think its ignition though.

keep me posted
hope this does it.

thank you
