I have a 2000 mercedes c230 kompressor, tranny started slipping, pull over, turn it off, start it back up, its fine! not slipping anymore!then, WTF?

hi, mercedes are good for 200,000 before you change transmission oil, hope this helps my E300 has done 350,000 and still changes fine as the oil is not a lubricant as such it lasts longer and does not lose it's viscosity, hope this helps you, thanks for useing fixya

Disconnect the battery lead at the starter motor.Leave off for a few hours then reconnect it.It should reset it for you.

It's typically the motors or the special drive tubes that it uses. If you here a clicking noise then the sunroof became to tight and ruined the motor gears. You can actually switch the two motors, one is for the shades and needs less power then the other motor. They are identical, switch them. Nex make sure they are very tight to the 3 mounting bolts, there is a rubber washer bushing that wears out and alloys the motor to flex too much, causing the gear mis-alignment and gear grinding. This works great I do it all the time.

hi this is showing fuel trim bank 1 malfunction, this could be caused by the following things, intake leak, AIR system, fuel pressure/pump, injector/s EVAP canister purge valve, or HO2S ( air fuel mix incorrect) if it starts and runs fine, i do not think it will be fuel pump, or the injectors as this would make it run rough or even not start at all, if it was an intake leak, you would be suffering from high rev's when you start the car and would take a long time for the rev's to come down, so really, that just leaves the HO2S (sensor/s) these are located one on the exhaust manifold ( from engine follow exhaust manifold you will come to a things sticking out with some wires on) this is HO2S sensor bank 1, or if you look under the car on the exhaust, just past the catalytic converter you will see the same thing, this is HO2S sensor bank 2, it may be either of these, but i possibly would go for the first one, EVAP..it could be, if you have an air leak on it, the EVAP can be found under the hood/bonnet, at the front on the right hand side as you look into the engine/motor bay just in front of the screen was bottle...hope this helps

Try another key, if not test the battery voltage. Your cars battery might be low, it needs full voltage to turn the key.

here is a link to the maf sensor position there are just clips to remove (if they were replaced after last service) if not just gently pull from pipe ,make sure replacement is put in the right way

If the key will not turn, the interlock mechanism is stopping it. Try to jiggle the transmission shifter (in Park) to see if that is keeping the key from turning. You can also try it in neutral.

this should work straight away, but i would first put the key in the ignition, and put the ignition on for 30 seconds to a minute, then start it up
