Warranty ? Another dealer perhaps,,,,
I would check with another dealer before attempting any repairs. You may void the warranty or parts of it. Have them check for TSB's and recalls pertaining to your vehicle and problem.

If the check engine light is on, take the truck to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any fault code(s) that are stored. Most parts stores will do this for free. The codes will help identify what the problem might be. There could be a number of things that could cause this condition and getting the code or codes will help narrow down what is causing it. Hope this helped and best wishes.

My 65 mustang stalls whenever i stop then it starts right back up

Hello Larry,

Without the car running... You should be able to open
the throttle.. and literally DROP it back to idle...

Observe the action of the THROTTLE RETURN
DASH-POT
T should visibly SLOW the RETURN
of the throttle linkage like a door closer...

If you do not SEE the slowess... the dashpot
should be replaced (they are getting SCARCE).

SIX CYLINDER (EXAMPLE (only))

You will need to have the THROTTLE RETURN DASH-POT
on your (unspecified) carburetor
tested and adjusted... and the IDLE SPEED correctly set.

Idle Speed and a slow rate of RPM reduction is
critical to the proper function...

Some LESSOR "mechanics" will attempt to raise the
IDLE SPEED to compensate for a malfunctioning
DASHPOT... This will PROFOUNDLY exacerbate
the problem.

2007 ford 500 --have two problems the car accelerates and jerks when letting up on brakes -- took to dealer and ''reset transmission'' and having an issue with ac when car idles it stops cooling, when...

if the AC isnt cooling on idle then the fan isnt coming on ,so gas isnt cooling in the rad in front of the car ,now as for the pulling away bit i wiould disconnect the servo vacumn feed pipe and block the end of the pipe and try that in case the diaphragm is letting in air causing the idle to speed up

91,000 miles I accelerate and felt the engine sputter. There small sputters, but I'm sure they're going to get worse. It also happens when I cruise around 50+ mps. No lights have come on

Sounds like you may have a small random misfire.. Have your spark plugs checked...One just maybe cracked...And sooner or later, as it gets worse the check engine light will pop on, and you can go from there..Goodluck...

When i take my foot off of the brake and don't

Sounds like your throttle body is dirty. This is the first year GM modified the 3.8 with an aluminum intake and a "motor sensor in the throttle body".
No codes will come on as the computer wont pick up the issue. It will also be hard to start on occasion when warm.
Dealer will clean it only if you instruct them to. (about and 80 dollar fix if that's what it is)
Money well spent as even if this doesnt cure it you will eventually need to do this anyway.
That's assumiong you have changed your gas filter air filter and plugs (GM only)

The engine seems to be making a sputtering noise

Amelia, we just bought one off a lease 5 weeks ago (purchased from a dealer). We are having the same symptoms, suddenly, as you describe.

Took it back to the dealership. After a bit of drama, they agreed to foot the repair bill ($1000). It was a broken distributer cap and wiring which should have been replaced before it was resold to us. What a pain.
