Question about 2004 Land Rover FreeLander
Just replaced the CAM Shaft and timing belt on my 2004 Land Rover Freelander (57,000 miles). However, now that engine starts, it runs well for about ten minutes then the engine shakes. I have taken it to the dealer and a local mechanic to no avail. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.
Hydraulic lifters? I have been racking my brains for this one. Lifters will sometimes pump up when cold and then lose pressure as they get worked. Would explain why your camshaft died. Suggest you look at old camshaft, see the cams that were worn and replace those lifters. Only thing I can come up with!
