2006 Durango Turn Signal Issues

Like another post here, my 2006 Durango is suffering from a turn signal issue. The right turn signal will sometimes come on after the left turn signal has been activated. The left turn signal will blink a few times and then the right will come on for a few blinks then it will switch back to the left again. Does not do it all the time.

Check your wires that ground the turnsignals. Loose or corroded grounds will cause many lighting issues. You may even have a turnsignal housing that has loose grounding connections or shorting in the light housings. I recommend removing the signal housings, inspecting (where wires are connected by rivets), repairing and reinstalling. If you find the plastic connection holders to be unrepairable , you may have to just replace the unit with an aftermarket replacement or auto salvage part in better condition.

2002 dodge durango left turn signal works right turn signal does not

have you checked the bulbs front and back. to see if they work, bulb check. then it sounds like you might have a bad signal flasher that only works the left side and not the right side. or if a bulb at the front or the rear gets bright but not the opposite bulb on the same side then you may just have a bad bulb or socket or power to the socket when doing the bulb check.

Turn signals not functioning properly

Please check the bulbs. These issues can happen if your bulb is burned out. Crazy if you have a bad bulb on both sides but still need to rule them out.

2006 durango having problem with left turn signal not working all the time any sugg.?

If it lights up and doesn't blink it's probably a bulb blown. Next time it's not working correctly get out and look at the front and rear, whichever signal isn't lit up will be the one needing replaced. Sometimes they come and go before dying completely. Hope this helps.

Flash signal

Hi,

To my knowledge the turn signal flasher for a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero is part of the Hazard Flashing switch. It is actually a 4 way flasher unit in one assembly.

Additionally, there was a recall order for 1999-2002 Alero models due to electrical issues which includes signal lights. You can try calling Oldsmobile at 1-800-630-6537. The Ref. No. is 04098A issued Jan. 11, 2006. Accordingly, the repairs will be made at no charge to the customer. The special policy covers warranty repair (for such problems) for a period of 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km), whichever occurs first.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
