Question about 1988 Jeep Comanche
Drives fine in level, when stop or slow down; engine light combs on and it splurts and splutters like it's going to die.rpm goes up when stopped. As though it is having trouble changing gears.
Engine performance will directly affect trans operation. You need to do some testing to determine if your problem is fuel or ignition related. Begin with basics such as condition of fuel filter, ignition wires, cap and rotor etc. then, using an inexpensive manual and digital volt/ohmeter, do some specific tests if you haven't already found the problem. If you have a question about anything you find, I or someone else here can help you!
