2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor Air Conditioning Drain Leak

Our Endeavor also has the a/c leaking inside on the passenger side. Tried to get it fixed several times, only to have the problem come back. I'm sure it is a design flaw. Has anyone had success in solving this problem.

Water dripping on the passenger side is usually accompanied by rushing water noise during sharp turns. This is extremely common on Endeavors, and is caused by a blockage in the drain of the AC system. It can be caused by leaves/debris or insulation foam that has come loose. There is a bulletin to remove the foam and any leaves/debris under warranty (5y/60k) and install a cabin filter to prevent recurrence.

Any chance of getting a copy of the Bulletin?

My 2005 Endeavor is doing the same thing. The first time was at 58K miles and my car was under warranty and they took out the foam free of charge. The second time was 2 weeks ago, at 87K miles and I was told my extended warranty wouldn't cover it because it was a "maintance" issue and not a defect. What a crock! They charged me $100 to unclog it. Now two weeks later after that fix, it's leaking again! I'm so frickin livid....with one last **** payment on this vehicle too! The dealer is going to be kind enough to not charge for the diagnosis, but can't guarantee they won't charge to clean again. This has got to be a defect!

Where is oil filter and oil drain plug

The oil filter is underneath the engine passenger side, at the back of the air conditioning compressor
The oil drain plug is under the passenger side of the engine, it is on the posterior-inferior portion of the oil pan.

Hope this helps

2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor - Air Conditioner leak on passenger side floor. We have tried to locate the hose or something that is probably plugged. It was fixed years ago under warranty and I was told that it...

Under the hood on the passenger side of the firewal there is a blower housing. run your hand along the bottom of the housing and you will feel a rubber fitting that is like a duckbill, That is the A/C drain. It can be seen better from under the car looking up. Squee it open and clear it with your finger,or just take it out, clean what you can and reinstall it. The edges of the hole fit in the groove and it is easy to put back on. The duckbill drain should be pliable enough toopen with the preddure built up in the blower housing letting the water out. The rubber over time hardens and is no longer flexible enough to open. $550.00 - $5.50. repair maybe.
