You don't say what engine this is, 4 or V6

In a V6 there are 2, in the valley between cylinder heads, and you have to remove the intake manifold to get at them. See here 137 and p176

In a 4, it is high up just below the head gasket joint, on the right side of the block. See here p93 and p125.

knock sensors on v engines are on the insides of the cylinders in the v
the wires and harness will run down the v of the engine

Which is be hide the engine, on the top of the oil filter.

They are in the V of the cylinder block. You will have to remove some stuff to get at them. See here p137

hi first try this? unbolt knock sensor and clead both engine block suface and the brass surface of sensor then re bolt to engine block do not use any grease/lube make sure the wiring to sensor+plug are clean then recheck operation of sensor ? if no joy ? renew sensor

The knock sensor is located inside the cylinder block, on the inner side of the cylinders. You have to remove the cylinder heads to see it. In a word, this is a very difficult undertaking.
